The following questions came in from Jamie Oastler. I'm sharing them here for purposes of inspiring some conversations:
Other questions relating to Discovery Times that I would have liked to hear answered that did not get asked:
-How much money did BM.Org receive for this episode?
-How open are the LLC books from an audit perspective? The afterburn presents some of the items, but not an entire granular picture to this effect.
-Does the BM.Org have any plans to make the media review process more open to interested participants. I.E. Post portions of the media questionnaire online with the opportunity for people to either vote on what they think of the idea, or additional information they would like the BM.Org to ask on their behalf?
-You touched on the idea of it not being necessary to 'push' out a list of all the media credentials provided during a year, but should there not be a mechanism for individuals to either follow-up or be aware of those who are on-site? For example, a listing at Media Mecca of the media on-site along with a very brief synopsis of their aims of footage. So, what questions would you have asked Andie Grace?

Interesting line of questions from Jamie (btw...weren't you interviewed on the show? I thought it was you but I could be wrong).
We asked Andie about listing what media companies were present in the "Who What When Where" just like the listing of art projects that are installed on the open playa. I think that's a viable option.
I also agree with Jamie that the "After Burn Report" is not entirely transparent. But then, Burning Man is a privately held company and not required to be as open with their books as a publicly traded company.
Nice feedback, Jamie. Keep it coming. If there was another podcast interview with Andie, what would you ask her?

By the way, since my schedule has opened up, I've now added a proper subscription link. If you have iTunes (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/) properly installed, you can just click Subscribe, and iTunes will automatically add the subscription to its Podcast section, and you will automatically see new episodes as they are uploaded. Enjoy!http://nospectators.com/burncasts/subscribe.png (itpc://nospectators.com/burncasts/burncast.xml)

Is there any way to get the audio into .mp3 format for those who don't use iTunes?

Is there any way to get the audio into .mp3 format for those who don't use iTunes?Hi leenerella,
You don't have to use iTunes to listen to .m4a files, you can use any player that supports that format (you may just have to download a codec or plugin). Two other players are: WinAmp (http://winamp.com/) and foobar. (http://foobar2000.org/) I'm sure that there are others as well. (http://fileforum.betanews.com/browse/Audio/Players?start=0&sortby=rating)
Of course, most other players don't support the embedded photos or links that the Burncasts include. Neither does the .mp3 format.

By the time I post this you have had your 5th Burncast. I just want to thank everyone involved in producing the Burncasts. You guys are doing a GREAT JOB. It’s really fun and informative hearing from people who are responsible for producing Burning Man. It’s also interesting hearing how this event has spread to others who have created their own events in their own style.
Again THANKS!!! The Burncast was the thing that got me coming to your website and now I’m hooked.

Good music. Does Corndog have a web address?
Thanks Scout. Just so's ya know, BURNcast usually has a link embedded within each chapter that you can click on if you're listening to the podcast in iTunes. There's a little window in iTunes that also shows the image of the person we're interviewing. Hope that helps.
The music came from DJ Djun Djun http://www.puretoneproductions.com
And, like Lecter said, Brian "Corndog" Tortora can be reached at http://www.briantortora.com

Hi folks, this is DaBomb, host of BURNcast.
Thanks to all our listeners for feedback about our show and for making it the success that it is. NoSpectators hosts the files for BURNcasts of which we are so very, very grateful.
BURNcast is made in .m4a (podcast) format. More than a simple .mp3 file, BURNcast includes embedded photos, links and chapters.
We're very pleased to announce that NoSpectators now offers these podcasts in .mp3 format to enable those who are unable to listen to them otherwise. So, now you can get BURNcast in both .m4a and .mp3 depending on your capability.
To listen in .mp3, simply click on the "listen" on the featured BURNcast episode you wish to hear.
However, for optimum sound quality and improved features, we recommend listening to the podcasts in the .m4a format in which they were created. It's relatively easy to do so: simply use the iTunes player which is available for free and works on both Mac and PC. To download, go to: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Folks who already have iTunes can listen to the podcasts in it's original .m4a format by subscribing to BURNcast through the iTunes directory.
A special thanks to NoSpectators.com for hosting these podcasts.

admittedly, haven't heard all of them but of the collection I did listen to, the one that I find myself recalling most is the interview with Ivy. loves the research and concept of documenting the history of our ::pling!:: community...
They're all great, came away with a gem from each.

Thanks, Cha Cha. Always looking for ways to improve the show. I'm sure Ivy will be enormously pleased to hear that she's a favorite pick!
