Is there a way to configure my profile so that when I click on a thread I'm taken to the last message I've read, rather than always ending up at the first page and having to click to the last?

Is there a way to configure my profile so that when I click on a thread I'm taken to the last message I've read, rather than always ending up at the first page and having to click to the last?If you are on the main forum, simply click on the subject listed in the Last Post column.

If you are in a subforum, and there is a new post in a thread, there should be a tiny envelope immediately to the left of the thread subject ( http://nospectators.com/forum/images/buttons/firstnew.gif ). Click on that envelope and it should take you to the new post.

Finally, there is always the New Posts (http://nospectators.com/forum/search.php?do=getnew) link in the second navigation bar that will show you all the new posts since your last visit.

Please let me know if any of the above isn't clear.

so "new post" means new since the last time I looked at the thread or is it just a timed thing (like it stops being "new" after 24 hours?) And does it take me directly to that post, or just the page that the "new" post is on?

And does it take me directly to that post, or just the page that the "new" post is on?It should be since the last time you visited the thread, and it should take you directly to the oldest post that you haven't viewed (meaning that even newer posts will follow and you may need to scroll down to see all of the new posts since your last visit).

Right on, but no way to set that up so happens automatically? Just asking, I can work with clicking on the envelope (just need to remember to do it). Thanks : )

So you'll have to remember the little envelope until that feature is added (which may be never). :p
