The holidays are upon us. That said, is it me, or is Tribe a little quiet this time of year?
The reason I'm concerned is because my sense is that if things slow down over there, things my slow down over here as well. Lecter put so much into this site, it would be a shame for NoSpectators to wither away.

Agreed, it's pretty quiet. Of course, the restictions over on tribe have not been enforced yet, and this place may build when that happens.
(Yeah, this ain't much of a message, but I'm trying to get my post count up...)

the one weird thing i noticed is that out of the 20 or so tribes i belong to, only folks on the bm tribe are posting....
and except for the random "hello" posts, here has been quiet. i havnt even had a chance to cuss! (damnit!)

I also have patience. If it takes a while for people to come here, i'll wait. I have no reason to take the site down, so I'm in this for the long run.

Well, it took me some time to navigate here. I too have noticed a slow down on Tribe, as well as 3playa. I checked eplaya after being away for almost 3 months and I was amazed at how few new postings/thread there were.
None of this unusual! People generally turn off the Burning Man switch after Decom and don't turn it back on until around Jan/Feb or whenever tickets go on sale for that year.
(btw, is the theme usually announced this early?? Seems to be the first time I remember it being revealed before the new year).

It's true, Chai.
Burning Man has implemented new automation and robotic technology spurred by the commercial growth of the event. This will speed up production and require cuts in volunteerism.

But the new technology was implemented last year, as "Psyche" was announced in early December 2004.
(But that was the first time a theme was announced before the new year.)
