View Full Version : you can call me Reverend Dak
I am not my alias. I am not my experience at The Burning Man festival. I am not my megaphone. I am not Santa. I am not the Easter Bunny on April Fool's. I am not my band T-shirt or my ghetto work pants. I am not my orange messenger bag. I am not my checkered Vans.
I am who you think you know. I experience Burning Man. I enjoy my megaphone. I am one of many Santas. I am one of many Bunnies. I enjoy live music and cheap clothes. I carry most of my crap in my orange bag. I have a checkered past.
I can only speak for myself... loudly & amplified.

Oh, i think you'll be fine with all the other 300+ Santas to keep you merry!
Oh, it will take more than 300+ false santas to replace the one and only, and precious, DaBomb.

Oh! (tears forms in my eye).
Oh, Rev. Dak! I never knew!
It's a shame I won't see you: I'm the Kissing Bandit Santa this year. I'd say "Meet me under the mistletoe!" but alas...this year our lips will never meet! :(
HO(x3)!

Hi y'all..my name is Cathy & I'm from Houston, TX...Space City...I am here to participate more in intentional community. I found this link on the Burning Man Tribe.net & thought it showed promise, which it has indeed. I went to the Vault of Heaven BM in '04, & to the Austin Regional Burn Flipside in '04 & '05. I can't believe it took me so long to find BM, as I have always lived a life less ordinary, that now is even more extraordinary. I am in a committed monogamus relationship with my lover, whom I met at my very first burn event (Flipside) I went to. I am exceptionally curious to know if anyone has info on relationship statistics in regards to BM (ie, who met their significant other there, how long together, quality of relationship, was it just "lust in the dust", etc). I would be willing to bet that the Playa has resulted in some very strong relationships indeed. Hmm, now thats an idea...have a theme camp where people can document the impact BM has had on that aspect of their lives.
Thanks Lecter for all the ass-busting you did to formulate this site, very impressive. I'm not bailing on Tribe, so if you want to peer further into my life check it out. phlyfiremama@yahoo.com
Brightest of Blessings to you...
Cathy
