Wow!!! I must stand and salute Mel Gibson for this weekend’s dose of stupidity. I’m not talking about drunk driving, which is just about as stupid as it gets. I’m talking about Mel’s anti-Semitic diatribe he pointed at arresting officers. Is Mel showing us his true feelings? I know the Passion of the Christ did a lot to point the blame for Jesus’ crucifixion on the Jews. There is nothing that makes me want to run away from anyone faster than when they say, “The Jews killed Jesus.” (Which I am sad to say I have heard more than once.) First I want to run, and then I get to tell them what really happened (Ya, like I was there). Remember, Jesus was tried and crucified under Roman law. Who were the Romans? The Romans were Italians. So, the Jews did not kill Jesus. For arguments sake we will say the Italians killed Jesus. You don’t ever hear anyone say, “Fuck the Italians they killed Jesus.”
I just wonder WHY any Christian is pissed off for Jesus’ death. Remember Christians, Jesus died for your sins. Isn’t it a more captivating story if Jesus was persecuted and crucified for your sins than the story, Jesus died today for your sins at the age of 87 when he fell in the bathtub and broke his hip. Please stop blaming anyone for the death of Jesus. As for the Romans all I can say is good job boys.
